The ...Delaware River is the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi River. The Delaware Canal runs from the mouth of the Lehigh River in Easton and follows the Delaware river south to Bristol. It was used to haul coal and other products from the Lehigh Canal beginning in Mauch Chunk, (Jim Thorpe), to the industrial centers of the Philadelphia area near Bristol from the mid-19th century to 1931.
The card published by the “Colotype Company” in Elizabeth N.J and N.Y.” is postmarked 1947 and is in good condition. I just realized that this is an older card, mailed after the canal was not used or it is a different canal…. In any event the corners and edges are intact, and the image is clean and clear as is the reverse.
If this your card, it will be mailed promptly upon receipt of payment by Pay Pal only...... Free Shipping World Wide. Thank you for your interest and I hope that I can help you with your collection.....
