RARE VINTAGE MATTEL HOT WHEELS REDLINE, OLDS 442 in Magenta. Spectacular Mint Condition. A Gem specimen in my opinion, or very close to it. This original beauty appears straight from the package and never played with. I can see no chips of any size, micro or otherwise. Deep rich Spectraflame color, clear mint windshields, nice chrome. Right rear wheel has tiny bit of missing chrome (from storage?) but overall wheels look great and spin fast. Ho...od opens firm and stays in place. Believe I was the first to open hood for these pictures.
This car was found in the case, at a home estate sale about 15 years ago. The estate was a 'time machine' experience, with an abundance of 1960's-70's toys, sports cards and comic books fresh out of storage. The case contained many nice cars, but the Olds 442 was the gem of the lot condition wise. Packed away since I've owned them and maybe time to let some go.
