Here is a small World War II Navy D Day Patch and Insignia Lot. known You have the red and gold Navy Amphibious Forces Patch and a Fireman 2nd Class Petty Officer Rating. Both were cut off from a white enlisted Navy Jumper. This was the patch worn by the sailors that cleared beach obstacles, handled Higgins boats and other landing craft, served on larger amphibious vessels and were the... Navy Beach Battalions and Aid Stations during Amphibious Operations and Assaults, most notably the D Day Normandy patch. It is one of just a couple such patches I have located over the years. The patch and Rating are at least 76 years old and approximate overall fair to perhaps fair plus condition.
