The Italian Flag limited edition fountain pen was produced in 1997 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Italian flag and was issued in 599 sets of three colours fountain pens and 1398 individual (Green, Red and White) fountain pens for a total 1997 pens. This is number 1223 in green colour.
The nib is 18kt solid gold, size Medium (M). The fountain pen has a piston filling mechanism. There's a window through which you can view the ink and... know when the supply is running low.
The front section is black acrylic. The clip, cap band, and barrel trim are gold-plated. On the top of the cap there is the Italian Flag emblem.
The pen is 129 mm long capped and the barrel is 13 mm wide at the ink view window.
This is a gorgeous, well-balanced pen in mint condition (no cracks, chips, dents, or dings). It comes with original box that includes a metal plaque commemorating the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Italian Flag with the original paperwork.
