PIETER DE JODE II (Antwerp 1606 - Antwerp 1674) : Flemish draughtsman, engraver, publisher and art dealer. He was the only son of Pieter de Jode I, who was his first teacher. He was active in Antwerp and master of the Guild of St Luke from 1628/9.
As an engraver, he worked for Anthony van Dyck and his work is often difficult to distinguish from that of his father (he probably only signed as Pieter de Jode junior until his father's death in 1634). In 1631-32, he's registered being active in Paris, in 1667 he worked in Brussels. It is not clear when and where he died. Possibly he died in England in or after 1674, the date of his last known print. What remained of family business passed to his son Arnold de Jode who died in London.
