An offset lithograph titled MysticSeaport by listed maritime artist, John Stobart (English b.1929). The piece issubtitled The Charles W. Morgan at Chubbs Wharf by Moonlight for the whaleshipthat is depicted in the work. The ship, now docked at Mystic Seaport inConnecticut, was launched in 1841, and is the last wooden whaleship in theworld – only... the USS Constitution is older. The piece is a limited MysticSeaport Member’s Edition, numbered 239/736, as noted on a plaque affixed to theframe. Included is a piece of sailcloth from the ship itself. See the last pic for the price of a similar piece which didn't have the Remarque!
The print issigned by the artist, and numbered 6100/6141 in graphite.
The work is matted incream and rust, framed behind glass in a wood frame with an attached museumlight, and has a certificate of authenticity affixed to the verso.
