Description: This is one of four Watanabe prints offered individually on our store. No reserve! Each print starts at 99 cents! This is a very good quality vintage Japanese woodblock print by Sadao Watanabe in 1967. Print shows a nativity scene. Watanabe was a Christian Woodblock Print artist known for printing Biblical scenes as a part of the mingei or ?folk art? movement.This print was professionally framed in Hong Kong with a non-reflective glass. Included is an envelope taped to the back, inside of which is two copies of a short artist biography, shown in photos.

Signature: Sadao Watanabe in English and Japanese, with artist seal
Circa Date: 1967
Condition of piece: Very good, most likely framed with acid-free mat board. Artist seal is slightly illegible. Only very slight foxing on the upper corner of the paper, shown in photos. Please note that we did not remove this print from its frame, so we cannot guarantee that the print has been treated in line with conservation practices to maintain the integrity of the piece.
