16mm Film The Living Ghost (1942) James Dunn & Joan Woodbury (Monogram Pictures)
Item History & Price
Here's another great one for your collection: THE LIVING GHOST (1942) from Monogram Pictures
James Dunn stars as Nick Trayne, a retired detective, hired to look for missing banker Walter Craig. During the investigation Craig shows up in a zombie-like state and murders his brother-in-law. But is the banker the killer? Or is someone controlling him? The trail leads Nick to the real culprit, a mad scientist, who has been conducting experiments on Craig. There's also wacky Aunt Delia (Minerva Urecal) who believes she has psychic powers. This film is notable because it is probably Joan Woodbury's biggest role.
If you want to be sure to see every early zombie film, you'll have to watch this one. Wonderfully spooky and atmospheric stuff that takes place in an old run down house. A fun watch for sure.
Kodak Original Print is in used condition with random wear, lines/scratches, & splices throughout so if you are looking for a new or mint print, please look elsewhere. No Vinegar Smell. Comes mounted on two 1600ft. reels.
Pictures above are all from the actual film being offered taken while the print was running on a projector. Film is much sharper than pictures indicate. Some pictures might be more out of focus than others due to the camera used NOT the actual print.
Any questions at all feel free to ask and thanks for looking!
