Here is a 16mm print of the Laurel and Hardy film Swiss Miss. Produced by Hal Roach Studios and released originally by MGM. This print is from Screen Classics, who produced some of the best Laurel and Hardy prints. Most are murky dupes unfortunately. Good contrast and clarity in this print. Light wear only with a few light scratches. No vinegar small, no warping. A classic Laurel & Hardy feature that includes the p...iano across the rope bridge sequence, the chicken plucking, the gas burning floor and the broken plates. The plot is not as strong as some of their other features, but the comedy scenes are amongst the boys best.
From IMDB:9/10This is one of my favorite Laurel & Hardy films. Everything about this movie screams class--from the sight gags to the outrageous costumes. Laurel and Hardy are great for the whole movie with some of the goofiest antics I've seen in any of their films (selling mouse traps: they drill holes in the floor so the mice can get in and then cap them with golf balls so they can't get back out) The gorilla in Switzerland is hilarious (and really random) but makes me laugh every time. The organ filled with soap is fun as well as the great fight scene with the chef, and their antics in the kitchen. For me the best part of the movie is when the boys go to serenade the chambermaid (complete with Stan playing the tuba). Give this movie a chance, it is artistic comedy at its finest! See fame scans above.
The print is on two 1, 600ft reels. See the frame scans from the actual print for more detail of condition.
