Rudolf Konopa LITHOGRAPH (in Three Colors) : A Venetian Woman 1900

I don't know much about the artist, Rudolf Konopa (1864-1936) other than he flourished in Vienna at the turn of the century to the 1930s. He painted portraits, genre pictures, landscapes, interiors, and still lifes (that about covers all the territory!). He was member of the Wiener Kunstlerhaus from 1890 and the Hagenbund (whatever that is!). The lithograph I'm offering is of one of his chalk drawings in three colors (Kreidezeichnung in drei farben) and it is a rather magni...ficent portrait of a Venetian woman. Konipa has placed his initials and the date in the lower left corner: R.K. MCM (1900). The lithograph is in good condition: the colors are bright and vibrant. There are some very minor spots of foxing in the margins but nothing to compromise the main image. See photos. This is a wonderfully strong and dramatic portrait...and would look splendid nicely framed. The image measures 14 inches x 11 inches; the sheet measures 18 3/4 inches x 14 1/4 inches. The size of the piece adds to its effectiveness I think.
