In the short, Stan rooms at the Hardys home. When Fin comes to collect the money on the furniture, Hardy's wife why wasn't it paid. He says he gave it to Stan to pay it for him, but Stan used it to pay for his rent. So he gave to him to give to him, but he gave it back to him to give to her--they'll all nuts. Hardy then takes the money from savings but gets caught in an auction and winds up with a grandfather clock which gets run over. Drivers in the L&...;H films just didn't care for what they ran over. Clocks, horns, Hardy as well. Hardy's wife is upset and puts himn in the hospital. Stan visits him and they come out as each other (it has to be seen to believe).
