Item History & Price
Details about each of the three 1600' reels will be found below. This film was completely screened head to tail prior to sale. This print has been treated with 3M Photoguard to assure smooth projection and minimize wear. This print comes from a personal collection. I have owned this print for about twenty years. It is time to pass it on to another appreciative collector.
Overall, I have to say that this is as close to new as you're probably ever going to get with this title. It simply looks as near to new as you are likely to get. Please read the details below. Wow is the word.
Reel number one runs about 38:24 and is extremely clean. I don't remember a single splice in the entire body of the reel. (There is a "no frames missing" splice just after the numerical countdown, but prior to the Columbia logo fade-in and one at the very end of the reel that connects the feature to the original lab tail leader). Incredibly, this reel is virtually free of any lines or speckles. There might be a flash of a fine line only a few times, but that's it. I'd say at least 90% of this reel is free from any lines or artifacts. Remarkable! Complete Columbia logo fade-in, of course. Nice!
Reel number two runs about 39:13 and is also extremely clean, looking virtually new. Stunning, deep colors with just the briefest of a fine line only a few times. This reel looks fantastic. Even the sides of the frame are free from any lines. There are about three "no frames missing" splices during the body of this reel, a "no frames missing" splice at the head where the original lab head leader is connected, and another "no frames missing" splice at the end of the reel where the film connects to the original lab tail leader. Yeah...this looks amazing.
Reel number three runs about 22:06 and also looks stunning. Virtually no lines and no splices (except for one "no frames missing" splice where the original lab head leader is attached to the action). The Columbia logo is complete all the way through the fade-out (and no splices here, whatsoever). Again, there might be the briefest flash of a fine line a few times, but folks, this is as close to new as you're going to get with this classic film.
Total it up and you'll see that this rare print is totally complete at about 99:43 (my Eiki must run just very slightly fast) . This film will be carefully packaged in a brand new shipping box. In addition, this print has been meticulously cleaned with Film Renew from head to tail just prior to sale. It's ready to go!
Photos with this listing are unretouched screen shots of the actual print. Please forgive the limitations of my camera.
