Publication date: 1844 Original Color LithographC. Schach was a German lithographer and engraver who was most famous for working with Lorenz Oken (1779-1851) a German naturalist, philosopher & physician, who shortened his name to Oken while at medical school... in Freiburg, Bavaria. With Schach's artistic talent, Oken's masterpiece was the 13-volume 'Naturgeschichte fur alle Stande' (Natural History for all Social Ranks), first published between 1833 and 1841. This 1844 Antique Hand-Colored Lithograph Print was published independently and is rarely seen for sale
