SUPERB 18thc GEORIGAN ORMOLU GILT BRONZE CHERUB MOP POCKET WATCH STAND HUTCHAMAZNG ESTATE TREASURE AUCTION INCLUDNG FINE ASIAN ARTS Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions! Up for auction is a very fine 18th century Georgian gilt bronze & mother of pearl inlaid pocket watch hutch stand. This stand is a particularly superb example that would date to the 18th century. I believe the stand would be French or likely English in origin. The stand shows remnants or authentic ormolu gold gilding and has a finely etched Mother of Pearl backing. The stand displays very nicely measuring 9 inches tall, by 3 3/4 inches square at the base. The hutch shows its age with wear to the gilding and one of the cherubs wings are missing. The hutch is otherwise in nice estate-fresh condition and the Mother of Pearl plaque is also in fine condition with no damage. You do not see many examples of this fine quality and early age come up for no reserve auction.
