This is an Estate Fresh older Oil on Canvas rural Landscape painting done by Award Winning and Recognized Listed New Mexico Plein Air Artist Ron Rencher. This is a nice size painting of a classic New Mexico Adobe Hillside Home setting along the Locally well known Talpa Road in Taos. Signed both on the front and back of the painting. Rencher moved to Taos in 1987 from Utah, where his Personal and Artist growth Flourished. As this was painted in 1989, it may actually be a painting of the Artists new home in Taos. He was a Plein Air Artist and was actually Invited to be a member of the Plein Air Painters of America, and in 1998 was voted as a Signature member of the Plein Air Painters of America which is a rare honor indeed, bestowed on few as there are but few slots available for Signature members. He was also a member of the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico. This painting is 15.5" tall framed x 18.5"wide. It still retians the original tag on the back where the past owners bought the piece priced at $525.00 back in '89! Many of his works are into the thousands.About the artist: Ron Rencher was born in St George, Utah in 1952 and spent most of his years on the family ranch in Grass Valley, Utah. He graduated from Southern Utah University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
