The oil dates back to the late 19th century ( 1880-1900) Very fine impressionist self-portrait, possibly done when she was a pupil of professor Frants Henningsen from 1889-93. A very fine and rare early work by Brita Barnekow (1868-1936) who was one of the pioneers in the history of female pai...nters.Condition:Ready to hang. In good condition. The oil could use a light cleaning due to the old age, Otherwise fine with no holes, tears or missing paint. The original salon frame has minor scratches due to the age.
