Vietnam Era NVA Pith Helmet with Officers InsigniaThe helmet is pretty dirty, but it can be cleaned. I know this because I can see dirt on my hands after I hold it. The dirt appears to be soot, I think it may have been in a fire. There is not a liner. There is a paper label inside of the hat. There are a few nicks on the outside.I bought this at an estate sale, so I do not know the history.
