Light shelf wearThis, along with all of our other Steven Wilson / Porcupine Tree items were from the personal collection of Susan Mullis.
Susan was a super fan. I believe it was in the late 80's that she was introducing the Hartford area to the music of Steven Wilson through his music as Bass Communion and No Man, as well as the music of Porcupine Tree. She played their music on her radio show on WWUH radio ... She was a part of a fan group that was given materials to spread through the area to promote concerts and the release of new music. I reconnected with Susan in the early 2000's and went on tour with her. Our day was always the same. Get in line 4-6 hours before the doors would open so we would be in the front of the line. Then race to get up to the stage. Usually she was able to lean on the stage because she was in the front row. She was ecstatic throughout the show, singing along with every song. She noticed the little details like the looks between the band members, and the backstage action that went on throughout the show. When the show was over she would try to get the playlist from the roadies. We would then go to the backstage door to wait for 2-3 hours more hoping to get some personal swag. Usually we walked away with something. Andy Leff, PT manager, knew her by name because of her promotional work with WWUH and he often got her photo passes or even backstage passes. He reserved us seats and brought us backstage a couple of times as well.
