BEATLES INVESTMENT GRADE STEREO BUTCHER COVER YESTERDAY & TODAY W/TRUNK SLICK
Item History & Price
Please Note: Recently, the price was reduced on this rare item from an opening bid of $1699 to $1499 for a very short period only for a buyer who sent an offer for a slightly lower Buy It Now price ($1955.99) but ended up not being able to immediately raise the funds to use Buy It Now. Instead of placing the album back at an opening of $1699, the price was raised back up a bit from th...e price of $1499 to $1599 which is still a reduction from the original price. That opening bid is still well below current market value for a Stereo Peel of this quality. I will not entertain lower offers on this jacket through the messaging system. Thank You
One of the best overall 1966 Genuine Stereo Butcher Covers that I've ever offered. Please read the entire description before placing a bid.
This is the first time offering with a reasonable opening bid for a #2 Scranton Stereo peel of this quality. Mono's have recently sold for over $2000 so even the Buy It Now is a reasonable price considering that Stereo jackets are at least 5 to ten times more rare than their mono counterparts.
These stereo jackets can be notoriously tough to peel and this one is nice. Overall this is a very strong jacket with good seams and spine with very little to complain about. Capitol factory glue lines are not too prominent and there are no large tears or major repairs/touch up that effect the jacket in a negative way. This is a very high quality peel that you don't often find in the marketplace. Look around at other offerings in this price range and you will see the difference here.
Seams are nice all around and spine is complete with all writing legible. There are hardly any condition issues worth mentioning with this jacket but just a few very tiny pinpoint dig marks on the upper white border near the words "File Under The Beatles", a very light faint approximate 1" stress crack at the very middle of the top seam (which appears to have been neatly mitigated to prevent spreading) and a very slight rub mark at the very end of the bottom seam (please see close up photos of these areas as these really are very hard to notice). Back of the jacket is very nice and better than average with very light wear. While not 100% pure white, aging/tanning is very minor and this jacket is more white than 99% of what you will see out there. Make no mistake about it, any condition issues are very minute and do not take away from the strength of this jacket.
Regardless, the record should not be placed in this jacket and should always be stored separately due to the age and value if this item. Please see photos for details. Last photos are of the album jacket prior to peeling. Original orange 1966 Capitol inner and Stereo record is included in clean VG ++ condition. This is a used item sold in "as is" condition. Please examine photos prior to bidding.
