This is a very nice condition ex-army issue Austramax 3/300 kerosene pressure lantern. It is an older model with the older style black enamel hood which has a small chip on top near the top nut, otherwise, very nice condition. Has metal pump and filler cap fittings, bright plating with two tiny dents to the left of the pump, pretty normal with ex-mil models. Has the broad arrow symbol on the collar, photo shows it. The base plate is steel consistent with the very early models just foll...owing the 2/300 model. It has a rust spot in the middle, I have cleaned off the top and prepped the steel, rest of the base is original finish. Original Schott curved glass with no chips or cracks, pumps up and holds pressure, good jet and needle, I have not lit it after cleaning the brass.
