You arebidding on a stunning 10K Solid Gold Elgin Watch Company pocket watch from 1884! This watch is a size 6 (40mm inDiameter, not including the stem) and is housed in a beautiful 10k solid goldhunter case. Thiswatch has an elaborate detailed case with fine vermicelli pattern all over thecase. There is a central floral patternon one side and an un-engraved oval cartouche on the other just waiting foryour initials. As you can see in thephotos, this watch is... in amazing condition. This watch case has seen verylittle use at all. The watch lids open and close very well. All hinges are firmand show no abuse. Please inspect photosfor detailed condition. This case has been tested for10k solid gold and has all the normal signs of a solid gold case with stemcutouts on case lids and high jurgensen lips on the stem. The cuts outs at hinges are all solidgold. With gold being over US$1, 200this watch is truly valuable just even from just a gold bullion value. Ofcourse, add to that the amazing history that comes with these antique time piecesand the artwork and condition and you have yourself a valuable watch worth collectingand keeping for a lifetime! The enameldial is in good clear condition. Thereare a couple of hairlines, overall it is very nice with a great scriptsignature. The crystal is in great clearcondition. Thewatch movement is a ¾ plate movement with 13 Jewels. Movement made in 1884. Thewatch is stem wind and the hands are lever set. The watch is running well andthe hands set well.
