Up for auction is a VERY FINE EARLY 19TH CENTURY FRENCH GOLD GILT BRONZE ENAMEL FIGURAL MANTLE TABLE CLOCK. One of two fine French bronze clocks being offered in this weeks estate auction. We believe this clock would date from the first half of the 19th century. The clock is finely made with intricately detailed maiden figure resting on a lounge chair. The base of the clock is also ornately designed with many nice features. The clock is solid bronze and retails most of its original ormolu gold gilding. The clock chimes on the half and full hours with a fine quality chiming sound. As all our auctions have run for close to 20 years here online this fine quality clock is being offered Without Reserve!
Condition: The clock will wind and runs nicely chiming on the half and full hours. We always assume estate clocks may be in need of service or adjustments to be in perfect “time keeping” order. The case shows minor wear and imperfections retaining almost all of its original ormolu gold gliding as seen.
