ORIGINAL COVER ARTWORK For The Coloring Book, Part Of A Set Titled "Lone Ranger -- 6 Books To Color"...! It is a massive 11.25" x 12", this showpiece would be impressive framed and displayed! Original Work For A Legendary Western Hero, With The Top Cowboy Character Seen In The Hit Films And Books And Comics! This series has always appealed to fans of "Cowboys And Indians" including such renowned heroes as Lone Ranger and Tonto, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and so on. The digital pictures make the piece appear dull and drab, when in reality it is especially striking in person. This actual one-off item was created in 1955 for Whitman Publishing Company to produce the iconic front cover of a coloring book. This gorgeous showpiece is quite well preserved; there is a vellum overlay, which has a notation, and served to protect the artwork itself for all these generations. Most of the logo is hand inked, but the words "Lone Ranger" are not original. -- it is especially striking since the inking was done to high standards, so it really emphasizes the high-impact images. It appears it had some details of background items cut out, to simplify the backgrounds and dramatize the characters, and then that piece was glued to a larger background board, which then had some more inks added here and there to bring the image all together. This is one-of-a-kind material which would be a great acquisition for any fan of the old comics, books, movies, cartoons, radio programs, TPB's & graphic novels and magazines! Extra fresh, bright, and clean; It has obviously been well-preserved so far. Boasting lots of great details, this would be particularly impressive if it were framed and displayed, but it could also be stored for investment.
