A mid 1830’s Solid gold English fusee.. the watch measures 48.5 mm across the center and weights 94.6 grams... The higher 17 jeweled gilt movement is in good condition with bright gilding and no spots ... Movement has a lever escapement with a Massey III roller activating the lever... A bi colored 3 arm balance wheel that has a diamond end stone over the center.. Large Liverpool jeweling including the fusee are mounted in screw down settings.... nicely engraved balance cock is marked... Patent, Detached... Movement is numbered 25657... The original brass dust cap Is missing.A nice gold dial with applied raised gold Roman numerals.. Very nice blued Flur di Lise hand set ..All hand reach appropriate markers.. The solid gold American made case is marked F.V.&C. And the movement number.. I have seen this case mark before but do not know who its for.. Case is very solid with both front snd rear Covers shutting as the should... hinges are fine ... rear cover engine turning has some wear. Center band has heavy engraving with a very nice slim design at the center... Glass crystal and winding key included... Watch winds and sets as it should..
