Here is this amazing early 20th century antique Art Deco large platinum filigree natural ruby old European cut diamond ring . The ring weighs 4.5 grams and it is a size 5.25 . The top of this ring measures 14.7 mm north to south and features one extremely beautiful .98 ct round faceted natural earth mined red ruby surrounded on all sides by old European cut diamonds .The diamonds are... all F - G color VS1 to SI1 clarity and very securely set , sparkling and reflecting light from every angle . This ring is from a private estate and the original gemstone in this ring was replaced with this amazing ruby and sized one time to fit . This ruby was purchased and selected because it is of the finest quality and color with only possible industry-standard heat treatment , under microscope it has a excellent cut and very modest natural inclusions , it sits in a very sturdy raised filigree setting so the top of the gemstone sits 8 mm off the finger . The craftsmanship is amazing holding 16 old European cut diamonds on all four sides of the gemstone with the traditional wheat ears on the sides of the band . The ring has a thick and sturdy band that is not marked and it has been professionally tested as at least 900 platinum .
