Vintage 1950's Ride-On Rolling Horse, Carousel Type-Molded Plastic-19" x 21"x 8"W.GERMANYThis is one of the most beautiful horsey toys I've ever seen and evidently it's a rare one. No brand, but there is an air hole in the bottom that has "Made In W.GERMANY" (this stands for either 'West Germany' or 'Western Germany' but in this case it's 'Western', pre 1960).
I searched for a long time and could not find anything that matched this horse on the internet and none that matc...hed it in design and detail. It looks like a baby Anime carousel horse!
It has individual legs (later models replaced them with legs that are each one solid piece, front and back, for strength). It's made of molded hard plastic that is reinforced and probably filled with some other kind of plastic. It's a substantial toy, weighing six and a half pounds. It used to have a noisemaker of some sort. It doesn't seem to make noise anymore but the air hole is there. I think those are the original wheels. I've seen similar toys from that era using those kind of wheels and they are really well mounted.
