Selling one original NOS VDO speedometer originally made for WW2 German halftracks and armored cars in near mint cosmetic condition. This is a standard military speedometer model that was used on most German halftrack and armored car designs throughout the war. This speedometer would have come from leftover parts from a factory, or possibly kept as a spare part by a maintenance/repair shop. NOS, never used or installed. I took the bezel off so I could clean a li...ttle behind the glass, because there was a small amount of dust on the inner side of the glass that was messing up the resolution/detail when I was taking the picture of the dial, but other than that the speedo has never been messed with. The speedometer is in near mint cosmetic condition and has been tested using an electric drill with piece of cable mounted in the chuck of the drill to confirm working condition. The tripcounter reset knob spins the tripcounter wheels as it should. The odometer shows two miles from being quality control checked before leaving the factory (This would have been in 1942). The speedo has an original date stamp of 9.42 and it has a calibration marking of w 0.62. The speedo is complete with mounting bracket and nut. The yellow plexiglas light diffusor ring between the dial and the glass is in near mint condition without any cracks.
