Vintage sterling silver Berlin Airlift Ring with a unique design. It is from World War ll. The face of the ring reads "Berlin Airlift". The ring features the profile from a 1940's Mercury dime on an abalone shell. The ring is engraved on the inside with the words, "We can Fly anything anytime anywhere 0151 RGS". Haven't seen anything like this anywhere. I BELIEVE THIS IS TRULY A ONE OF A KIND PIECE. Made for an individual pilot or airman. The numbers 0151 and the lette...rs RGS are not registering any specific information I am searching for. The history of flights made by these heroes and lives they saved during the "Cold War was truly remarkable. They are all heroes and should be saluted. I purchased this ring at an estate sale. The ring is marked sterling 10k. The ring is a size 10 and the weight is .59 ozt, or 18.7 grams. This is a great addition to a collector or someone who served.
