Original 1942 WWII War Bond Poster - Excellent Condition.
Title: "You Buy 'Em, We'll Fly 'Em"Size: 20" x28"
Poster is a great rendering of a close up of a fighter pilot getting ready for take off, with other fighters flying in the background. This artists of this work were the Wilkinsons (J. Walter Wilkinson, 1892-1988, and his son, Walter G. Wilkinson, 1917-1971), famous artists from that era. The image was used as the basis of the poster for the movie Pea...rl Harbor with Ben Affleck.
The poster is in excellent condition. It was handed to down to me from my grandfather who sold war bonds during WWII. War bonds were sold to help fund the war effort, and the posters also helped build support for the war when so many people were sacrificing so much.
Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
