I'm pleased to offer this 1971 BERGGREN TRAYNOR Scandinavian Decor CERAMIC TILE TRIVET It measures 6" square X 3/16" thick. Made of white ceramic, this decorative kitchen trivet / wall plaque features colorful olde world graphics that depict traditionally attired festive Scandinavians and a lettered motto that that reads as follows: "MIRTH is for the Upper Classes / FUN is for us Happy Masses" (see images). Discreet lettering within the artwork reads:... Berggren / (copyright) 1971 / Berggren Trayner Corp. An original foil label on the back reads as follows: Design No. 159 / This Original Design is Hand Screened / (copyright) 1971 / Berggren Trayner Corporation / Berggren Originals / Libertyville, Illinois (see image). Nice & clean with NO chips, cracks, stains or paint loss. The felt backing remains intact with an integral hanger that shows no signs of use.
