The sitting bear has unglazed light color on his right foot, that looks like a nick on the photo but it's actually not and it is within the sat...in glaze. Extraordinary glazed porcelain figurines of bear cubs by the Finnish Modernist artist Richard Lindh for the world renowned Finnish ceramic art production house Arabia. The pair of porcelain bears are signed with a maker's stamp on the bottom of their unglazed paws. The figuration is wonderful, as is the very complex and complicated colors of the exterior coats of the bears, where burnt sienna and yellow ocher give way to deep chestnuts, honey amber and chocolate browns. Playful, beautiful. Wonderful.
