FOUR ANTIQUEASIAN IMARI 10 1/4” PLATES VIBRANT HAND PAINTED BLUES AND ORANGEThis is awonderful set of four antique plates in vibrant colors of blues (light anddark) and orange with the rims trimmed in gold. These four hand painted plateswith unique but similar patterns, are in good to fair condition. All four plateshave cracks, crazing and staining on back, however the face of the plates arevibrant and without crazing and stains. Thereare no chips and some wear to gold on scall...oped edges (please refer to photos).These plates were used for display in the location mentioned below. Not sure ofthe origin of these plates, the only marking located on one plate is the number1492 or 1472 on the back of one plate. These platesmeasure approximately 10 1/4” in dia. This is oneof many antiques from the contents of the historic Stephen Daniels House one ofthe oldest houses of Salem Massachusetts. The Daniel's House wasbuilt in 1667 and is one of the oldest residences in Salem. The home was converted to a restaurant and inn in 1945 whichcontained a large number of antiques and collectibles.
