For sale here is a greatlooking US Post Korean War USMC Officer's Mess Dress Uniform. The uniform is complete with jacket and pants. The jacket is made of finedoeskin wool. The jacket has all 13 front buttons and two neck closurehooks. Each sleeve has a great looking toned bullion wreath and threebuttons. The collar has a great looking bullion detail. Theshoulder boards and buttons are present. The shoulder boards have alightly toned silver bull...ion Peace Eagle Colonel's Rank insignia. TheColonel's Rank is on a patch and appears to be put on over another lowerrank. The jacket has one interior pocket and is lined in red satin. The collar has two hooks, a hook backer, and five GENUINE Mother of Pearlcollar buttons. The EGA's aren't present, but apparently were in placefor a long time. The wool is in excellent condition with no mothing orissues that i can see. The jacket is most likely tailor made, but thelabel in the pocket has been removed. This is a very fine jacket that willwear or display well. The pants are almost made of doeskin wool andfeature a front Conmar hook and zipper. The pants have two front verticalwaist pockets and a toned gold bullion stripe on each leg. The pants arealmost tailor made and have had the tag removed. I found these togetherand believe that they are a set. The pants are in excellent conditionwith no mothing or major issues. This is an amazing set that will displaywell.
