For your consideration Fetish Bird Necklace Length about 51.5 cm DescriptionGreat Native American Fetish Bird Necklace. Brown beads, small yellow and white carved birds, 16. I assume it is made out of shell, most of these types of necklaces are shell or stone. Screw type clasp, looks like beads are strung with flex soft wire type thread. Fetishes are hand carved "animal totems" shaped from organic material to s...erve as abodes for spirits, and would impart their powers to those who carried them. ConditionSaw one bird has a chipped beak, see 7th picture.In good pre-loved gently used condition with age appropriate wear and patina.May need cleaning as I do not clean jewellery
