You can rest assured this is a first UK pressing because I spent my last semester of college (1977) in London. I was completely immersed in the emerging punk scene and spent every night at the Roxy and other punk venues. Needless to say, I was mad about The Clash and bought this LP the day it was released.
A month or so before then, I bumped into Strummer, Jones, and Simonon on the tube. When I told them I loved their band, they thought it was strange that this American guy eve...n knew who they were!
