The Surprise Package Free Up 1969 Original Vinyl Record Album released by singer/producer Lee Hazelwood, whose label only lasted from 1967 to 1971.This was the only release by The Surprise Package, which was a psych rock group from Seattle, Washington in the 60s. The album has great fuzz guitar and drumming, especially on the second cut on side two. The sound is very clear and dynamic, and the record groove definition is excellent.I rate the vinyl VG+, even though the record appe...ars Near Mint in room lighting. The reason for this is the presence of three tiny specks on side two that remain despite thorough cleaning on my Nitty Gritty vacuum cleaning machine(see picture 5 for three white specks). The record originally didn’t need cleaning, as it appeared rarely used. I just wanted to see if I could eliminate the specks. Under very bright lighting, a couple hairlines appear that don’t affect the sound. One of the specks on side two does cause two ticks. I was only able to hear them, because I knew when to listen using a position on the label. The ticks occur during a fuzz guitar solo and are overwhelmed by the music. The other two specks cannot be heard. The jacket is in very good, shiny, condition with light ringwear on the top and bottom of both sides that measures about 3 inches long. There is some corner wear that is visible in the pictures .Please be advised that Media Mail from Alaska takes at least three weeks, and that may be even longer now with the slow down under the new postal director. Thanks for looking.
