Good running order, near mint movement and dial, case with very light wear, all originalDescription: Dudley Masonic model 2, s#2988, late 1920's, 19 jewels, white gold-filled flip-back original case with glazed cuvette, original signed silvered dial with applied numerals, great example.Dudley Watch Company's first model ran from s#500-1900 with production from 1920-25, the second model under P. W.... Baker Co. ran from s#2000-4800 with production from 1925-35, and the final model under XL Watch Co. with some post-production ran from 1935 to 1976, s#4800-6500. The first two models are considered the most desirable. (Source: Complete Guide to Watches, Gilbert Engle & Shugart).Condition:Examinedby yours truly, a specialist in antique and vintage watches since 1971: Good running order, freshly lubricated and timed by yours truly, near mint movement, faint tarnish or cloudiness only; near mint original dial and hands with faint effects from a celluloid crystal, now replaced with glass: the numerals have pristine iridescent tarnish, the dial surface only the tiniest specks, and the hands very tiny oxide or rust specks; the case has very light wear, while the crown and pendant have medium wear and light brassing to the pendant surface. The watch will be easier to wind with an identical crown with less wear, which I will install at the buyers request. I believe that after complete cleaning the watch will appear nearly perfect cosmetically.
