This vintage Martin Committee trumpet is in great playing condition and has plenty of life left to give. The serial number, 201226, dates it to 1956. The horn had quite a bit of servicing done in mid-2019 including a chem clean, leadpipe patch, dent removal (leadpipe, back bow), and new felts and corks. The patchwork is very nicely done, as pictured. Cosmetically, the horn has mostly worn down to raw brass and has picked up a nice patina. The nickel accents have minor pitting, but noth...ing that affects playing. Compression is very good, especially when using a thicker oil. Valves are quick and responsive with very nice plating and the slides are all free and smooth. There has been minor bell dent removal in the past, but it is hardly noticeable to the eye. Sadly, the 3rd slide ring is missing and one of the bottom caps isn't original to the horn (it fits, but not great). The horn plays well and will serve it's next player very nicely.
