This is a rare early Merlin Mountain bike from 1987. It has the early decals and has no serial numbers. The builders at Merlin did not start numbering the frames until about the 50th frame. It also has the pressfit bottom bracket style because threaded bottom bracket shells had not yet been produced when these early frames were made. This one was owned by an Italian racer and I kept his sponsor stickers and the rear disk plates on the rear wheel. The disk is easily removed if you didn�...��t like it. All the parts are Shimano M730 which also dates this to 1987 which was the only year for those parts. I added the very rare McMahon titanium fork, Ti bars and Litespeed seatpost but everything else was original. The frame size is medium.
