ORIGINAL VINTAGE AND VERY RARE U.S. 1966 BEATLES FULL UNUSED NEAR MINT CONCERT TICKET FOR THEIR PERFORMANCE AT CROSLEY FIELD IN CINCINNATTI, OHIO SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 20, 1966, BUT ACTUALLY PERFORMED ON AUGUST 21, 1966 DUE TO THE WEATHER! More about that story below.... ORIGINAL 1966 BEATLES FULL CONCERT TICKET TO THEIR PERFORMANCE AT CROSLEY FIELD IN CINCINNATI, OHIO ON 8-20-66. THE CONCERT WAS ACTUALLY HELD THE NEXT DAY DUE TO WEATHER. (see story below.) THIS IS A VERY... RARE AND GREAT LOOKING TICKET THAT HAS THE FULL NAME BEATLES ON IT! FULL TICKETS ARE VERY RARE INDEED TO THIS SHOW! CONDITION OF THIS TICKET IS A VERY NICE NEAR MINT!. SIZE IS APPROXIMATELY 4" X 1 1/2". AN INTERESTING FOOT NOTE TO THIS SHOW IS AS FOLLOWS. (Here's the story about the show and for the ticket stubs who have the marker line...) On the day of the concert, a slight drizzle began to fall around 4:00pm. Promoter Dino Santangelo had seen fit to save $400 by passing up on renting a tarp that was supposed to cover the stage. By showtime, the drizzle had turned to rain. The Beatles and their supporting acts (The Remains, Bobby Hebb, The Ronettes and The Cyrkle) were, of course, using electrical equipment for the performance. Needless to say, the show was postponed, and the promoters faced financial ruin. According to promoter Steve Kirk, it was John Lennon who volunteered The Beatles to perform the next afternoon. They were scheduled to fly and perform in St. Louis on the 21st, but the flight was a short one, and the scheduled performance there an evening engagement. Lucky ticket holders were allowed to return for a marvelous performance the next day. By presenting a stub, they were re-admitted and the stub was marked with a black marker. This concert therefore has 2 notable aspects to Beatles collectors; it was the only time the Beatles performed in 2 cities in one day in North America, and it was the only scheduled performance of the Beatles to be cancelled, and ultimately rescheduled for the next day.)
