This is a rare ski rack made by Eckel of Germany. These were custom made for specific vehicles. I believe this is for Mercedes Benz r107 models such as 380, 450, 500, and 560. PLEASE DO YOUR ...RESEARCH - I'm including photos and measurements to ensure this is the correct rack for your vehicle. I am not the original owner, these are rare, there is not a lot of information available, and there are no model or other numbers that I can find on the rack. I've done as much research as possible but I can not guarantee what vehicles this fits for sure.
Except for needing cleaned up it is in very good shape for it's age. The metal has a little very light tarnish in some areas but is not badly rusted. The metal and rubber are dirty and greasy in some spots as well. The rubber is very soft and pliable with no cracks, chunks or damage. The latches all move easily. One is a little looser than the others and doesn't stay snapped lightly but there is a little screw that I'm sure is used to tighten it and then I imagine it will work fine. The elastic straps are all in excellent shape. With some scrubbing and polishing it could look beautiful, but I'm selling it just as I got it.
Please see photos with measurements as well. This is approximately 38" long total, with latches closed, from tip to tip. The latch mechanisms are screwed on and it does appear you can lengthen or shorten the total length of the rack slightly depending on how far in you screw the latch mechanisms, although I'm not positive. With latches open, not counting the white rubber pieces, it is approximately 35.25" long. The rubber holders are just over 4" (about 4 and 1/16") tall, 2.75" wide at the base and 1 3/8" deep.
