National HRO - 500 Vintage Ham Radio Receiver (almost, But Needs Some Help)

This National HRO-500 (serial number 75-1038) is in pretty good cosmetic condition, but certainly not perfect. The cabinet's lid has some wear, as the paint seems to be thin a very small amount of surface rust is poking through. You really have to get up close to see it. The metal trim/bezel on the faceplate looks a little aged. Lastly, the red cover on the phase-lock indicator light has broken off. Other than that, it looks pretty good. It's very clean inside.
This receiver is ...going to need some work. After a long warm-up period, it receives well. However, the signal can cut out at random. When we lightly bang on the top of the cabinet, it'll come back in. There's likely a bad connection or solder joint. There could be some other problems as well, we simply don't have the time to dive into it. This will make an excellent restoration candidate for the right person!
