Jonsereds 111S Vintage Chainsaw Project But Needs Some Work

NO RESERVE auction for a super rare vintage Swedish muscle saw! NOTE - auction is for powerhead only -- the bar and chain are not included. The 111 Super Jonsereds is a 110cc saw that was produced from 1973-1980. It was Jonsereds' answer to the big McCullochs, Stihls, Dolmars, and Hooskies from that era. This saw serial number 715671, and it is complete and original. The hard to find parts are all present and accounted for -- a...ir filter, air filter cover, muffler, and the oil fill cap. The gas tank is fine, and it doesn't leak.
The piston is gorgeous! No scuffs, no smudges, no scratches evident -- this is about as nice as you can get besides NOS.
Here are the issues: the crankshaft is broken -- the end is sheared off on the flywheel side. Looks like someone overtightened the bolt that holds the flywheel on. It does come with a replacement crankshaft, but it does have some minor damage on the PTO side -- it looks like the crank key came out of the keyway and the keyway is not in perfect condition. A key will still fit, but it's slightly enlarged, so I would recommend installing it with some Loctite red. See pictures for more details. The muffler has also had some work done, as you can see in the pictures. The bracket in the area of the repair is solid; it's not about to fall off or anything like that.
This particular saw also has the super rare full wrap handle, as you can see in the pictures. The full wrap may look a bit silly with the end hanging in the breeze by the clutch cover, but that's how they came from the factory. However, it's missing the dogs or pawls that the starter catches on to start the saw so you'll need to source 2x dogs, two springs, and two clips to hold them on.
