The SX-1010 was Pioneer's top of the line FM/MW stereo receiver when it was introduced in 1974.Features include an FM front end with dual-gate FETs, ceramic filters and ics in IF stages for sharp selectivity, quadrature detection, phase lock loop (PLL) stereo demodulator, all IC equipped AM section with linear dial, balanced positive and negative power supply with heavy duty components, and a phono equalizer with wide dynamic range and extremely close tolerances. The twin tone con...trols permit precise shaping of sound and direct-coupled power amplifier supplies high output power with minimum distortion.SpecificationsTuning range: FM, MWPower output: 100 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)Frequency response: 10Hz to 40kHzTotal harmonic distortion: 0.1%Damping factor: 30Input sensitivity: 2mV (mic), 2.5mV (MM), 150mV (DIN), 150mV (line)Signal to noise ratio: 65dB (mic), 70dB (MM), 95dB (line)Output: 150mV (line), 30mV (DIN), 1V (Pre out)Speaker load impedance: 4Ω to 16ΩSemiconductors: 3 x FET, 5 x IC, 73 x transistors, 41 x diodesDimensions: 520 x 175 x 440mmWeight: 22.2kgAccessories: FM T-type antenna This unit is a very nice specimen. It is in great condition. I was unable to test the phono inputs, but all others have been tested and work fine. There was a minor hum when I first powered it up, but I was advised by a tech to reverse the power plug, and that seems to have taken care of it. There are two minor dings on the top of the faceplate (see photos) and some minor scratches in the finish on the top of the unit. The antenna clamp in the back is broken (very common) but I have ordered a replacement which I will install before shipping. Apart from that, this unit is being sold as-is.
