For sale is a vintage, original issue 1980-81 Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer effects pedal. This is the tone you are after! This vintage 808 features the Malaysian RC4558 IC which delivers a bit of a sweeter, less ahrsh tone than the JRC4558 seen in most vintage 808's.
The pedal works perfectly and has been thoroughly tested with both a 9 volt battery and a 1/8" 9 volt DC adapter. The pedal has been serviced and is not all original. The original switch was re...moved in favor of a true bypass switch. The power jack, at least one capacitor, and three transistors were replaced due to failure. The IC and other key components are stock and the original tone is all there. The back plate is a vintage original, the screws are not original and the battery cover is missing.
It is in used condition showing cosmetic wear, it will come as pictured. This is an excellent opportunity to get a player's grade 808 with all of the vintage tone at a steep discount.
