Up for sale we have a very nice all original 1936 Outboard Motor Corp. Evinrude Sportwin 2.5 HP model # 4156 in very good original condition, has only received a light cleaning/polish in years prior. The aluminum fuel tank does have some superficial dents & dings but way better than most I see and very easily restored to perfection. I have left this engine to the end users artistic license, no spray paint cover-ups so the natural state of this little Sportwin shines through so you ...can see the real potential. Anti-cavitation plate, skeg and Prop are all 100 percent.
This is one motor from the vast collection that my family has accrued over the 80+ years of 4 generations as an Evinrude Johnson dealership. I will be listing others as time sees fit. All engines have/had run when put up for display, but have not been tested since. I do not warrant that they will run now, but all internals are free and they have compression. All engines have been stored in an acclimatized shop since we acquired them.
All engines will need to be packed to a certain standard depending upon condition, weight and fragility. That being said, shipping cost involve "handling" as well, most Antique outboard engines are large, bulky and require alot of shoring to ensure they have a safe transport to there destination.
