Vintage Pioneer SX - 880 Stereo Receiver, Serviced, Everything.

Up for your considerationis my Pioneer SX 880 FM Receiver. This is a 150 watt receiver with most of thebells and whistles that one may want. These bigvintage receivers were a work of technical art that is no longer found in today’sunits.I purchasedthis receiver from the original owner some time ago and both there and here; ithas resided in a clean non-smoking environment. As with allof the electronics that I sell, I have inspected and cleaned every elementincluding cleaning the poten...tiometers, switches, jacks, and removing the frontfaceplate and cleaning the screen inside and out. I havetested every function with actual inputs(Turntable, Tape player, FM, AM, Headphones). Channels are balanced, all panellights are working, all function indicator lights are working, and tuner issmooth and positive. Meters for strength and center of channel are operatingcorrectly.  I used a pair of Kenwood 777speakers for testing this receiver and it drove them to high volume with no issues. The case is nice with the exception of one very small flaw on the bottom of the frontcorner. See photo. Overallcondition is excellent for age with only a couple of tiny scratches in thebezel (faceplate). Thesereceivers are heavy and this particular one will weigh very near to 33# whenproperly packed. I don’t up-charge for packing labor or materials, and theshipping charge will be exactly what it costs me. I wish there was a way toship cheaper, but there just isn’t. I pack thesereceivers by custom cutting form-fitting heavy Styrofoam (with a hot-knife) whichcompletely encases the unit and protects the knobs, switches, antenna, andpower cord from shipping damage. I then place the Styrofoam enclosure in adouble wall outer box. Shipping isby FedEx Ground as they have proven over the years to be the best at handling theseelectronics without damage.
