Hello my name is John. I restore, recondition vintage microphones for display, prop and functional use. I am offering this hard to find early Electro Voice V2 velocity (Ribbon Microphone) Produced sometime before 1946 while the company was still in South Bend, Indiana. This microphone has strong output and appears to be all original. It has the original 3 pin offset Amphenol plug to the mic that it came with. I switched out the old 1/4 plug with a Switchcraft XLR connector. I also am i...ncluding a nice 1960's era Atlas adjustable desk stand to complete the set. The cosmetic condition is good for age with the typical wear you would expect on the painted body. The On/Off switch works correct and all threading is clear. I cleaned up the front and back screens and it has the original dust cover over the ribbon inside. Just removed for internal pictures. The V-2 is heavy and much larger than the V-1 produced by Electro Voice. The microphone and yoke stand 8 inches tall and it is 3 1/2 inches wide at the thumb screws. The heavy metal base is 6 inches round and with the microphone mounted can be adjusted from around 15 3/4 inches to 19 1/4 inches. A very nice set for functional use or a great display, prop piece.
