From our family country store - in operation from 1895 until 1960 - I'm offering this washboard which remained in inventory after the store was closed. It's 22 1/2" high by 13" wide. Material is wood with a brass scrub board. Front top: "The Brass King - Top Notch Soap Saving, Sanitary Front Drain". The back is reinforced with wood ribs to keep the board straight - top is printed "National Washboard Co. No. National 801, Trade Mark, etc., Made in... U.S.A. Memphis Chicago".
