From our own personal Vintage Collection, we are offering my "Spare", Vintage AIRTRONICS Single Stick Transmitter up for Auction.
I bought three of these, almost fifty years ago, because I just liked the "Feel" of the radio........the stick is smooth, with just the right amount of spring tension. The throttle, auxiliary levers and switches, as well as the trims, are all just as I felt they sho...uld be.
In addition, for it's time, and unlike any of it's contemporaries, this transmitter featured an access panel which gave you the opportunity to change servo throw direction, add exponential, and couple aileron and rudder.
In addition, you also had adjustable dual rates on aileron and elevator.
I added a new battery pack and the LED Power-ON Indicator back in 2007, but still, never flew the radio.
The battery pack still accepts a charge, but probably should be replaced by it's new owner.
This Transmitter is one that you'll be very happy with and proud to own.....although I'm listing it as "Used", it never actually had the opportunity to control an airplane.
The stick is smooth in it's operation, and all the trims and auxiliary switches all function as well as the day this radio left the factory. The antenna is bright and shiny.
I have recently converted one of my similar AIRTRONICS Transmitters to operate on 2.4 GHz......so I know it can be done, it's not very difficult to convert if you want to do that.
All things considered, this is a World Class Transmitter.
